Major Areas of Research Interest:
Dr. Lesser joined The University Physicians in 1993 as a specialist in maternal-fetal medicine. Dr. Lesser is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist and maternal-fetal medicine subspecialist. Her research focuses on diabetes in pregnancy and pregnancy and exercise. A graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Dr. Lesser served her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York and completed a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Women and Infants Hospital at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She is the Director of the Diabetes in Pregnancy Program at University Medical Center. Dr. Lesser is also a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
